↓Welcome to Matenro Drift Racing, the original OG drift team from Tokyo, Chiba, Japan.
We offer fully private drift lessons designed for beginners and intermediate drivers who want to experience real JDM drifting behind the wheel of authentic drift cars. Our instructors come straight from Japan’s street and professional scenes, bringing unmatched experience and passion.
Each lesson is three hours long, giving you plenty of time to learn, practice, and truly understand the fundamentals of drifting. We teach you not only the correct techniques, but also the real street style that defines Japanese drift culture.
Your Progression — A Step-by-Step Drift Curriculum
1. Beginner Stage: Miyata NB (Mazda Roadster NB)
All beginners start with the Miyata NB, an ideal platform for learning drift basics.
We have three NB cars on site, and you will build your foundation with this machine—throttle control, counter-steer, weight transfer, and more.
2. Intermediate Stage: Mazda RX-8
Once you’ve mastered the basics, you will step up to the Mazda RX-8.
Here, you will learn figure-8 drifting, basic brake turns, and more advanced control techniques to prepare you for higher-powered cars.
3. Advanced Stage: Nissan 350Z or Toyota JZX100 (Chaser)
After reaching the intermediate level, you’ll move on to the Nissan 350Z or Toyota JZX100.
Drivers who reach this point will be challenged with our exclusive mini graduation course—a true test of precision and control.
